TOURIST HERITAGE BUILDINGS IN BANDUNG.

Bandung is the biggest metropolitan city in West Java as well as a provincial capital. City of flowers is another name for the city,because the city`s ancient in value very beautiful with many trees and flowers that grow there. Besides the duo also formely known as Parijs Van Java because of its beauty. In addition to well known as a tourist town shopping,the city of Bandung also known as large number of old buildings dutch heritage architecture,buildings that are now in use as cultural heritage.

GEDUNG SATE.

Gedung Sate, with ornaments in the form of his trademark skewers on the central tower,has long been a marker of Bandung city which is not only known by the people in Western Java,but also throughout Indonesia.

Gedung Sate called the Dutch East Indies during Gouvernements Bedrijven,laying the first stone on the 27th July,1920,during a period of 4 years in September 1924 successfully completed the contruction of the main building parent.
The white building is still standing strong yet graceful,and now serves as the administrative center of West Java building.

GEDUNG KANTOR POS BESAR BANDUNG.

The large building located in Bandung city center is very unique shape,similiar to an alite school buildings in Europe. On the front there is a statue of a universal postal union.

The building was built for 3 years,from 1928 - 1931 by an architect named J Van Gent,with a functional model of modern architecture ( Art Deco Geometric ).

GEDUNG BANK INDONESIA.

Indonesia Bank building formely Javanche Bank,built in 1915 - 1918 by architect Hulswit, Fermont and Ed Cuypers,with a neo classical architecture style ( electicims ),which has a beauty with a high tower,so easy in view of the long distance.

This building is more beautiful and stylish than similiar buildings in Europe. The building also has a major role in the formation of a good city.

GEDUNG PAKUAN.

Pakuan building in the dutch colonial era is the official residence Priangan resident, and is now the official residence of the governor of West Java provincial leaders.

Pakuan building was built in 1864 - 1867, has Indische Empire architectural style that gracefully monumental stijl highly favored by General Herman Willem Daendels. The building was designed by chief engineer of the departement Burgerlijke Openbare Werken van.

GEREJA KATEDRAL.

Cathedral church is a church with a neo gothic style of architecture,designed by Ir.Charles Proper Wolff Schoemaker.

This church was built in 1921,and was blessed on Februari 19,1922 by Mgr. E.Luypen.

GEDUNG SEKOLAH SMA NEGERI 3 DAN 5.

The school building is an old building which was built during the reign of the Dutch East Indies in 1916,designed by architect C.P.Wolff Schoemaker,which serves as the building Hoogere Burgerschool the nation`s high schools for Dutch and Indonesian royalty.

This building is located adjacent to the pool past the Dutch East Indies,baths centrum 1920.

GEDUNG PLN BANDUNG.

PLN Bandung building was built in 1930,designed by architect C.P.Wolff Schoemaker.

After inaugurated on October 26,1939,the building was used N V Gebeo,electricity businesses Dutch East Indies.

GEDUNG EKS BANK MANDIRI.

Located in the old city in the south of Bandung city square,adjacent to the post office building.

The building was built in 1915 by the famous Dutch architect,RLA Schoemaker. This building has a unique architectural style,the Neo Classical ( Art Deco ornamental ) are scarce and unique ornaments to decorate the building.

GEDUNG SMPN 2 BANDUNG.

The building is a former school that is Urfese Larage Dutch school,which was built in 1913 by the Dutch goverment,and taken over by the Indonesian goverment today.

GEDUNG SMPN 5 BANDUNG.

The school building was built in 1920 by the Dutch,in the building functioned as a school MULO.

At the time of Japanese occupation,the building was turned into a prison for Dutch people and changed its name to Kompetai. When Indonesia independence,function returned to school,and in 1950 was renamed SMP negeri 5 Bandung.
