The following are the famous museums in Bandung decent and family visit if you are in Bandung.

MUSEUM GEOLOGI.

Museum which is on the road Dipenogoro 57 Bandung this duo originally served as laboratories and storage areas of geological and mining results from different areas of Indonesia. Then again developed not only as a mean of research,but also function as a means of aducation,providing various information about earth science,and tourist attraction.

Geology museum was built in 1928 as a laboratory geologisch later also called geologisch museum.
Geologisch laboratory building designed in Art Deco style by architect Ir. Menalda Van Schouwenburg. Construction began in mid-1928 and was inaugurated on May 16,1929 to coincide with the implementation of the Pacific Science Congress held at 4 to Bandung on May 18-24,1929.

As one of the historical monuments,museums are under the protection of the goverment and a national heritage. Stored in this museum and in the management of geological materials are abudant,such as fossils,rocks,minerals. All of which was collected during fieldwork in Indonesia since 1850.

MILITARY MUSEUM MANDALA WANGSIT SILIWANGI.

The museum is on the road Lembong 38 Bandung,built in 1910. First,this museum was built as the residence of the Dutch officers. After Indonesian independence,the building was taken over by the Indonesian army and a division headquarters Siliwangi.

The building was inaugurated as a museum Mandala Wangsit Siliwangi on May 23,1966 by the division commander siliwangi Colonel Ibrahim Adjie.

Object can be found in the museum include a traditional weapon cleaver shaped,keris,swords,machetes,arrows,spears,various types of firearms,even military vehicle ever used.

MUSEUM POS INDONESIA.

Indonesia postal museum was founded in 1931 at the museum PTT ( Post Telephone Telegraph ). The museum is located at the rear of the post office Cilaki,the road Cilaki 73 Bandung.

Initially,this museum presents a collection of stamps just Indonesia or abroad, to coincide with the day of bhakti postel 27th September 1983,the renovated museum was inaugurated by the minister of tourism pos and telecommunications as the museum of pos and giro.

Objects collected is not limited to stamps,but in add with other objects of historical value such as postal equipment,visualization,etc,diorama postal service activities.
Along with the change of the company`s public company status ( perum ) Post and Giro became PT Pos Indonesia,on June 20,1996 the museum changed name to Museum Pos Indonesia.

MUSEUM ASIA AFRIKA.

Asian African conference museum is one of the museum located in the city of Bandung. Located in Jalan Asia Afrika 65 Bandung. This museum is memorabilia Asia Africa Conference. The museum has a very close relationship with the gedung merdeka. Overall building independence has two main buildings,the first is called gedung merdeka as the main venue,while next to the merdeka building is Asian African Conference museum as a place of Asian African conference memorabilia.

Merdeka building was first built in 1895 as a gathering place for the people of Europe,especially the Netherlands,who lives in London and surrounding areas. Many of them are entrepreneurs tea gardens and Dutch officers. They founded an association known as Concordia Societeit on June 29,1879.
In connection with the decision of the goverment of Indonesia (1954) is set as the Bandung Asian African Conference,the concordia building societeit choosen as the venue for the conference. This is due to the building is a public meeting place building the largest and most magnificent in Bandung. Besides the location is in the middle of town and close to the best hotels,the hotel Savoy Homann and the Preanger.

MUSEUM SRI BADUGA.

Want to know the history of the city of Bandung, from the time the government Hinduism,Buddhism,Islam,the Dutch era,and cultural history that flourished in Bandung,then just come to the museum sri baduga.

This museum was built in 1971,is the museum that has a collection of 6600 collection concists of 6346 pieces,220 sets,23 and 11 pairs of stele. To all collections that are grouped into 10 different classifications.

The classifications covers
Geological,Biological,Etnografical,Historical,,Archeological,Numismatical,Folological,Art and Technology.

OBSERVATORIUM BOSSCHA.

In addition to the museum,there are also places in Bandung star observation. Bosscha observatory is the oldest star observation places in Indonesia. Bosscha formerly Bosscha Sterrenwacht,built by Sterrenkundige Indische Vereeniging ( NISV ) or the Association of the Dutch East Indies.

Bosscha observatory is located in Lembang,West Java. This place stands in an area of 6 hectares,and is located at an altitude of 1310 m above sea level or at an altitude of 630 m from the highlands Bandung.
